Jay Stott, founder and director of With Purpose International/Purpose Driven Baseball. PDB was Founded in memory of former Tarheel and professional player Johnnie Stott, PDB seeks to equip young men not only for the sport of baseball, but also for life with PURPOSE. Jay coaches PD teams locally and has conducted camps and clinics in the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Spain, Austria, Israel and Slovakia. Jay has served USA Baseball as a coach for several NTIS events and was a guest coach/speaker for their recent development program. Jay is a former pitcher with experience at the D1 level as a former UNCW Seahawk. Jay serves as GM for PRO5 Baseball Academy that evolved from WPI/PDB’s vision to impact baseball communities locally and internationally

Michael Griffin from Nanaimo, BC, Canada joined the coaching staff of Purpose Driven Baseball having just completed a contract with Major League Baseball as the head coach of the MLB development center of China and MLB envoy Asia (Japan, Taiwan, Korea). In 2002, as the leading hitter for Canada’s Junior National Team, Mike was on the fast track for the MLB draft but was sidelined due to a freak injury. After 18 months rehab, he landed at the University of Hawaii. Mike also played on the Athletes in Action Summer Travel team that took him to Europe where he began his impressive coaching resume. Mike is currently the Head coach for the Senior Czech National team and baseball development director for Purpose Driven Baseball and Pro5 Academy.

Ray Stott began his coaching career at Clayton High School (7 years) where he coached current PRO5 pitching coach, Corey Lee. He also coached the Johnston County American Legion Baseball Team for 3 years in the 90’s. His experience as a player his freshman year and student manager for 3 years in the UNC-Chapel Hill baseball program helped him develop his philosophy of coaching. As co-founder of Purpose Driven Baseball, he coaches PDB teams and has traveled with PDB many times to Czech Republic and other countries on mission trips. Although he has been with PRO5 from it’s inception, retiring in 2018 from Johnston County Public Schools, where he served as a Teacher, Principal and Student Services Officer, gave him an opportunity to work full time with PRO5 Baseball. He currently serves PRO5 Baseball Academy as Academic Adviser, Operations Director and Coach. He is married to DeDe and has 3 grown children – Erica, Leah and Michael and 2 grandchildren Eli and Adam

Sean Gallaher comes to Pro5 Baseball Academy with over 20 years of baseball coaching experience at the college, high school and youth levels. Sean graduated from Wake Forest University where he was a four year starter on the baseball team and was captain in his senior year. After graduating, he returned to Wake Forest as an assistant baseball coach for three years and during his time was responsible for recruiting, coaching the infielders, outfielders and hitters for the Demon Deacons. He also obtained his Master’s degree in Sport’s Administration.
Over the past three years he has coached for USA Baseball’s NTIS in Cary, NC and is the NTIS State Sectional coordinator for eastern NC and SC. He has spent the last 5 years coaching in the Canes Travel Baseball organization at the youth and showcase levels, winning an NYBC 13U National Championship in 2017 and runner up in the PG National Championship and World Series in 2016, 2018 and 2019 with the Canes teams.
Sean sees Pro5 Baseball Academy as an amazing opportunity to further his passion, within a faith-based program, of coaching elite baseball players to achieve their dreams of playing at the next level and to assist them in becoming great young men and leaders in the community.
Sammy brings tremendous playing and coaching experience to PRO5.
Sammy played at Stetson University (1996-1998) where he was a
1st Team Freshman All-American (1996) and 1st Team All-American (Consensus 1998).
He was drafted in the 2nd Round of the 1998 Amateur Draft – San Francisco Giants – 68th Overall Pick. He retired in Spring Training of 2002 due to a shoulder injury. Sammy has coached at the college level and has served USA Baseball in various coaching/evaluating roles since 2008. He has coached over 25 catchers that have been drafted and played professional baseball
Justin played at Gardner-Webb University where he was able to make an impact instantly as he earned the starting catching spot his freshman year. While at GWU, Justin was an All-American, 2 time first-team All-Conference, Buster Posey Award Finalist (which recognizes the nation’s top catchers), and was selected to the Big South All-Decade team. After his senior season, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels and spent a couple years in the minor league system before retiring due to injuries. Justin loves the opportunity to mentor and work with some of the best high school talent in the country

Mack has been a huge addition to our staff. He brings 33 years of professional baseball experience, seven of which was at the Big League Level with the Cincinnati Reds.
Tom has been a great addition to our PRO5 Staff. As a player, Tom played baseball at Shippensburg State and has coached locally at Millbrook HS for 10 years as well as an assistant with our local CPL team (Holly Spring Salamanders) He’s our BP throwing work-horse and serves as one of our assistant coaches
