PRO5 Dominican Republic opportunity

PRO5 Academy recently visited the Dominican Republic as part of our Leadership Development program for PRO5 players and coaches. It proved to be an incredible baseball experience, but more importantly, it proved to be an incredible LIFE experience. We had the opportunity to play academy teams in a few different areas around Santa Domingo and partnered with Compassion International to help with community service projects. Our hope is to return in the Fall with our incoming 2024/2025 team.

Meanwhile, we would like to make you aware of an opportunity to join us as we help a particular Batey community in Aleman just outside of Santo Domingo. It is a very poor sugar cane village that is trying to complete a small construction project that will serve over 325 kids and families on a weekly basis. (See the pictures below of where the project’s progress is right now). We met with a local pastor/community leader and he gave us an overview of the program that serves their community.

If you would like to join us in raising funds to complete the project, please use this link to donate. The photos below are from our recent visit and depict the current conditions of the project. They only need $8,000 to complete the project which will greatly benefit the children of this community. Please contact Jay Stott at 919-389-2044 if you have any questions or need additional details.
